In 1967 and 1968, the World Series events were truly unique. Freddy Welshman (I think) and Jim Nicoll were the Top Fuel winners, but what was the big deal about the wins.

Immediately upon entering the track Martin spied the above creature, jumped out of the car and ran off mumbling something about Cecil the Sea Serpent. When Schramel and Burk finally caught up to the intrepid Martin he was conducting an interview but was puzzled by his lack of a response.
