DON'T TOUCH THAT DIAL!
The Agent heard of some changes coming for
the NHRA ESPN2 TV program in the 2005 season.
In addition to looking for a woman to add to
the on-camera reporting team, similar to the
way FOX and NBC have done in their NASCAR coverage,
both Bill Stephens and Parker Johnstone may
be leaving the show. According to the Agent's
operative, Stephens may move on to another ESPN
venue and Johnstone may be leaving entirely
to head up his new business, a Honda dealership
in Wilsonville, OR, a suburb of Portland.
Marty Reid, with two more years left on his
current ESPN contract, will continue as the
host of the qualifying and final eliminations
TV shows and Mike Dunn will carry on as the
color commentator for the broadcast. [10-13-2004]
FAST FOOD OR FOOD FAST?
Team Jeg's chef, Nicky Morse, will be featured
on the Food Network this weekend. "Top
5 Foods on the Fly" will air Oct. 16 at
11:30 p.m. (ET/PT) and Oct. 17 at 3:30 a.m.
(ET/PT).
The network camera crew was on hand for the
season opening Winternationals and has been
in production ever since.
"It was a lot of fun taping the episode
and I am really looking forward to seeing the
final product," Morse said. "I have
no idea where we landed in the Top 5. I'll be
watching just like everyone else." [10-13-2004]
