COCKTAIL TIME FOR NASCAR
The Agent heard from a reliable source that NASCAR will
soon drop its ban on hard liquor sponsorship. Currently
the motorsports giant will allow beer and malt liquor sponsorships
of race teams but not hard liquor brands such a Crown Royal
or Smirnoff. When NASCAR officially revokes the current
ban look for a slew of new sponsors to come in.

The Agent has been told that although there is nothing
official NHRA also has a ban on hard liquor sponsorships.
It would be good for NHRA professional teams if NHRA were
to follow NASCAR's lead.

GLIDDEN BROOMS ANOTHER ONE?
The Agent hears a rumor that Bob Glidden lost the help
of long-time friend and Pro Stock engine builder/owner/driver
Steve Schmidt on the Schumacher Pro Stock effort. According
to the source, Schmidt joined a list of people who just
can't seem to keep up with "Mad Dog" Bob Glidden's
unbelievable work ethic and pace. [11-9-2004]
