MORGAN TELLS SCHUMACHER
'NO DEAL'
Agent
1320 heard that the proposed sale of the Larry
Morgan Pro Stock team to Don Schumacher's ever-growing
stable of professional teams has hit a snag.
According to reports, Schumacher and Bob Glidden
thought it was a done deal but Morgan said as
far back as Sonoma that he hadn't yet received
any money from Schumacher. Now the Agent hears
that Schumacher/Glidden and Morgan are in some
sort of litigation over the deal.
A call to Morgan's Ohio shop got this quote
from a team spokesman: "I can't talk about the
lawsuit but I can tell you this -- there never
was a deal to sell the team and there isn't
going to be."
In the meantime, some of the principals are
using chat rooms to argue the case. The always
classy Morgan just continues to race. Stay tuned.
The Agent is sure there will be more installments
of this Pro Stock soap opera. (Jeff

POLISH-ED ALUMINUM
There
seems to be a thriving industry in Poland that
manufactures replicars. It was not so long ago
that repros of the Carroll Shelby AC Cobras
were being built there. Now Agent 1320 gets
this photo of an all-aluminum '41 Willys replicar
supposedly coming out of that country. The Agent
would like to see one of these "real" '41 Willys
bodies in Pro Mod trim. [8-13-2004]
