'BLACK SUNDAY' THIS WEEKEND
Gateway International Raceway in Madison, IL
will once again be host to the largest African-American
motorsports event in the world when the United
Black Drag Racers Association puts on the UBDRA
Nationals on September 17-19.
In addition, the National Marrow Donor Program
will be on hand Saturday and Sunday to register
much needed African-American bone marrow donors.

artist Nelly, is expected to attend the event
along with some of St. Louis' hip-hop elite.
Friends of Donahue, who is in need of a matching
marrow donor herself, set up Jes Us 4 Jackie
(www.jesus4jackie.com)
to make the public aware of the urgent need
for African-American bone marrow donors.
The Black Sunday event began over 20 years
ago and now attracts over 30,000 people to Gateway.
The event is open to racers of all nationalities
and ethnic backgrounds. DRO will have coverage
