ATECH MOTORSPORTS TO SPONSOR FLETCHER

Atech Motorsports, a wholesale distributor, will be the primary sponsor of Dan Fletcher's Camaro in the IHRA and NHRA Stock classes for 2005. Fletcher has a career total of 35 national event wins in both Stock and Super Stock, and has two Stock class divisional championships.

"Dan is a great racer and a professional on and off the track. As a sportsman racer, Dan represents those who ultimately benefit from an Atech Motorsports relationship," said Rob Collova, Atech Motorsports Manager.

'FAN NATIONALS' TO START AT NHRA EVENTS

Drag racing fans who think it doesn't look so hard to drive a straight line, will get a chance

to put their butts where their mouths are as POWERade brings a drag racing simulator to all NHRA events this season. The POWERade Fan Nationals is a season-long program that will pit fans against each other in a simulated race between two Funny Cars. The simulator, which took a year to build, will be unveiled at the Winternationals in Pomona, CA.

Fans will sit in the simulator seat, complete with a four-point harness safety belt, steering wheel, accelerator and brake, and react to the Christmas tree to test their reaction time, and then race down the virtual quarter-mile track.  [2-7-2005]
