A group of racers in the Southeastern U.S. are offering
fans and track promoters something a little bit different.
The Classic Gassers race heads-up and currently have a wide
variety of vehicles ranging from a '69 Camaro roadster to
a '33 Willys Town Delivery. DRO plans to cover at least

VEGAS MAKES WEBSITE JUST FOR DRAG
RACERS
The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway has launched a new
website in an effort to better serve its racers and drag-racing
fans. The new site, www.lvmsstrip.com, is up and running
and contains only information pertaining to The Strip at
LVMS. As it grows, www.lvmsstrip.com
will contain news, results, points, photos and contact information.

TEAM STEPS UP TO P/S
The Agent hears that Coccia-Mahoney Motorsports has taken
delivery of Steve Schmidt's 2003 Pro Stock Cavalier and
plans to enter at least a dozen NHRA P/S events with it
this season. The former Comp Eliminator team will have Division
1 Comp driver John Mahoney behind the wheel, with Dom Coccia
serving as crew chief and clutch specialist, and Ronnie
Manchester providing engine and chassis tune-ups. [1-17-2005]
NORWALK CHANGING HANDS?
This is just a rumor but the Agent got a call from an Ohio
informant saying that the Bader family sold controlling
interest in Norwalk Raceway Park. The Agent finds this hard
to believe, but then he never thought Bill Bader Sr. would
leave IHRA when he did. The Agent will make a couple of

'SPRING OPEN' AGAIN AT VMP
The Hardcore Motorsports Spring Open presented by Torco
Race Fuels will be held at Virginia Motorsports Park March
9-13. The current program will consist of free testing for
professional teams in exchange for participating in the
March 12 Chicago-style eliminations. Expected to attend
are IHRA and AMS/TLR Pro Mods, Pro Stocks, and Pro Street-style
cars, as well as alcohol funny cars and dragsters. [1-17-2005]
