The other brothers, Tony and Cruz, have noticed the fun
Del and Chuck Worsham have been having with their Classic
Nitro Funny Car Blue Max replica. According to Tony, he
and Cruz are discussing a Nostalgia Funny Car tribute
to Joe Pisano with a '77 Firebird. Back in the late '70s,
the brothers purchased the original flopper from Joe P
and it sat in one of their backyards until it was sold.
"Man, I wish we still had that car," said Tony,
"but we'd like to make a tribute car to Joe."
He'll probably make the 2006 Goodguys March Meet, if
he can make a squirt in his "Flaming Frank"
tribute dragster. (Zak Hawthorne

the Agent can't help but note that our online magazine
will have even more of an advantage over our print brethren.
Our delivery charges are not increasing and (unlike many
of the print magazines) our advertising rates aren't either.
Plus, you don't have to wait a week or a month to find
out what's happening.
Since many of the DRO staff members formerly worked at
newspapers and magazines, we're not exactly happy to report
that print readership and advertising revenues are down,
but there is no doubt that the Internet is gaining ground.
What a difference from when DRO first began in 1999 and
many company owners didn't even have a computer in their
office. [11-07-2005]
