company of NASCAR great, Darrell Waltrip, Formula One and

The moment Amato saw Don Garlits drive his famous Swamp
Rat Top Fuel dragster down Indianapolis Raceway Park’s
quarter-mile at the 1960 U.S. Nationals, he knew that in
six seconds he had found a lifelong ambition, beginning
a career that has lasted for 18 years as a driver and 24
years as a car owner.
“Running the Keystone Automotive warehouse and building
a giant automotive business while trying to run a racing
team and win championships side-by-side, has always kept
me pretty occupied," said Amato. "But it was all
a lot of fun and it went together.
"Many things have happened to me in my life,"
Amato continued. "However, it has all been great. It
has been a great, great ride." (Jeff

BTE/CITGO SERIES EVENT AT MAPLE
GROVE RACEWAY RESCHEDULED
Because of the weather, the first event of the Rons Division
One BTE/Citgo Series, the Liberty Bracket Nationals presented
by S&W Race Cars, has been rescheduled for May 20-22.

DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS
In the current Lenny's Line column there are a couple of
errors. Regarding the Match Race Madness events at Morocco
Dragway, the correct web address for the promoters is www.matchracemadness.net.
Also, it should be Rick Krafft, not Kraft. After all, the
Agent wants the correct Krafft to get the credit for this
excellent adventure in match race madness. Check out that
website for all the information. [4-28-2005]
NEW NECK RESTRAINT OK'D
Another head and neck restraint system has recently passed
the test requirements of the SFI Spec 38.1. The system is
manufactured by Safety Solutions. The official name of the
product hasn't been released yet, but the Agent will pass
it along as soon as possible. [4-28-2005]
