MILLICAN/KLOEBER DROPPING IHRA
IN 2006?

The
Agent hears that Ken Koretsky and his partners will be concentrating
on NHRA events next season after concentrating that team's
efforts over at rival IHRA for the last five years or so.
This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone but the Agent has
always been told that the reason the Werner Enterprises
Top Fueler hadn't raced more was because Werner didn't want
to.
If the rumors are true, this could represent a pretty serious
blow to IHRA as the Werner backed team and Millican are
really the last nationally recognized Top Fuel team regularly
competing on the IHRA circuit. [6-24-2005]
FIVE PSCA EVENT AT
LVMS IN 2006
The Pacific Street Car Association will present five events
at Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in 2006. Four of the
five events will be included in the PSCA's 2006 points chase.
The fifth PSCA event at The Strip at LVMS will be the world's
largest Pro Street event, the 2006 PSCA Street Car Super
Nationals.
The 2006 PSCA schedule for The Strip at LVMS: February
18-19
(PSCA Icebreaker Season Kick-Off); April 22-23 (PSCA Spring
Sizzle);
June 23-24 (PSCA Summer Nationals); September 2-3 (PSCA
Labor Day
Showdown) and November 17-19 (Inaugural PSCA Street Car
Super Nationals).
"Pro
street drag racing has evolved into one of the most fun
and entertaining forms of motorsports and we're excited
to expand our involvement in the program," said Chris
Blair, LVMS' senior director of drag racing operations.
"This series is all about taking a stock-appearing
race car, shoehorning a huge motor under the hood, feeding
it with racing fuel and nitrous oxide and holding on as
it makes a 220-mph trip down the quarter mile. The cars
are entertaining because they are so scary to watch."
The PSCA series consists of nine different heads-up categories
designed
for every type of car, racer skill level and car owner's
budget.
Participating cars range from project muscle cars to former
NHRA Pro
Stock and Pro Mod category racers. You've got plenty of
advance notice, so get busy building those cars. For more
