GOING IN CIRCLES

Who says drag racing is all we do at DRO? West Coast Editor Darr Hawthorne and his photog son Zak took on Ventura Speedway's 1/4 mile dirt track over the weekend. The pair attended Cory Kruseman's Sprint Car diving school to eat a little dirt. Other than a humbling throttle miscue on an early lap for Darr, Zak prevailed as the future star of the sprint cars to go right along side Kruseman's buddies Gary Scelzi and Ron Capps in the "A Main".
