DRO TEAM AIMS TO
HAND OUT 'PUNISHMENT'
The "Punisher" Pro Mod Team of
Donnie Little and Terry Murphy have decided to head north
from their regular Gateway International Raceway to the
Quad Cities area in Illinois to take part in the World
Series of Drag Racing this weekend.
"Yeah, we figured we'd show 'em how
we do it in the big city," Little said, tongue in
cheek. With backing from DRO (we provided the DRO decals),
the team is sure to be competitive. Check with DRO editor,
Jeff Burk, on the Cordova Raceway Park grounds for the
over and under. (Jeff Burk photo)

BorgWarner
Turbo Systems' AirWerks has become the exclusive turbo
supplier to General Motor's Sport Compact Drag Racing
program. BorgWarner began providing the boost for the
GM Pro Outlaw front-wheel-drive car at the beginning of
this season.
"The right turbocharger can mean the
difference between winning and losing in drag racing,"
said Carmen Smith, Program Manager, GM Sport Compact Drag
Racing. "We are pushing the envelope of front-wheel-driver,
four cylinder performance, and BorgWarner's expertise
in aerodynamics and turbocharger technology is absolutely
invaluable." [8-25-2005]
PUBLIC SERVICE
OR URBAN MYTH?
After running the bit about the National Do Not Call List,
the Agent received several emails debunking this is as
an Urban Myth. Perhaps so. However, over a year ago the
Agent signed up his home phone for the Do Not Call List
and eliminated the multitude of daily calls from telemarketers
(except, of course, the telephone companies). On the road,
the Agent gets quite enough legitimate business calls
on his cell phone, without having to start wading through
advertising too. So, make your own decision. Oops. . .right
now the Agent has to go answer the phone. [8-26-2005]
