GLIDDEN TO RE-SURFACE WITH MASKIN PRO STOCK?

The Agent is hearing that the rumored and denied partnership between Dick Maskin, owner of Dart Machinery, and Whitland, Indiana, legend Bob Glidden may be a reality. At least that is what the rumor mill is grinding. The Agent’s sources hear that current Pro Stock tuner Tommy Martino may leave his position with a part-time East Coast-based Pro Stock team to be the driver. Remember folks, this is just a rumor and nothing is official. . .yet.  (Jeff Burk photo) [7-6-2006]

YOU ARE THERE…SORT OF

One of the Agent’s favorite Super Stock competitors, Canadian racer Wally Clark, read the Chris Martin piece about the crash of the Hurst “Hairy Olds” at the long defunct Niagara Falls quarter mile in Buffalo, NY. Clark scrounged around his stash of old photos and sent us this shot taken just as the twin-engined beast rolled to a stop, still smoking! Ah, those were the good ol’ days.  [7-6-2006]
