JUNIOR'S
JR DRAGSTER ON 'MONSTER GARAGE'
The Agent has been informed that Troy Coughlin Jr. and his
Jr. Dragster are going to be involved in a future segment
of the Jesse James "Monster Garage" television
series. No details have yet been released as to time and
date but the Agent is sure that Jesse will come up with
some radical Jr. Dragster. Let’s just hope that since
it’s a Monster Garage deal the Jr’s will be
running nitro through those honkin’ one-lungers.

PELTZ REPLACING GLICK AS L.A.
TIMES MOTORSPORTS REPORTER
You
may not have heard of him, but for almost a half-century
Shav Glick (shown) has been reporting on motorsports for
the L.A. Times. During his career Mr. Glick was a huge
fan of NHRA drag racing and gave so much coverage of NHRA
events and races in the 1,000,000 circulation paper that
when NHRA built the new tower at the L.A. County fairgrounds
they named the press room facilities after Glick. At 85,
Glick has taken retirement from the paper and has been
replaced by a former business writer Jim Peltz. According
to Glick, Peltz is a big NASCAR fan. Not a real good sign
for future drag racing coverage in that newspaper. [1-11-2006]
