SPY PHOTO!
KURT JOHNSON'S CAVALIER

Agent 1320 has come up with a photo of what is believed to be the first look at a 2001 Cavalier Pro Stock car. This photo was taken in the R J Race Car shop and is the Cavalier that is being built for Chevy standard bearer Kurt Johnson.

NHRA PRO MOD A DONE DEAL!
Although no official announcement has been made, you can take this to the bank: There will be Pro Mod eight car open shows at NHRA National Events in 2001. The races will be run at NHRA National Events that don't conflict with IHRA National Events. The rules are set and the Agent hears that a large contingent will be at the NHRA season opener at Pomona. The Agent will bet money that the CIC index program will come into play for the blown cars very early at the first race.

ALCOHOL FOR NHRA ALTEREDS?

Agent 1320 hears that the NHRA tech department is considering the use of alcohol fuel for the AA/A and BB/A Competition eliminator classes. What a great idea if it is true. It would add some more six-second cars to the class and probably more cars period. Blown gas engine combinations are among the most difficult to build and race in all of drag racing.
