CRUZ IN, SHELLY OUT AT ESPN
Cruz Pedregon will be the color commentator on ESPN's 2001 drag racing coverage. Pedregon replaces Shelly Anderson, who reportedly still is hopeful of being back in a race car this season.

Pedregon, the 1992 Winston Funny Car Champion, hasn't given up on his own racing career but believes that the TV position will be a benefit in his pursuit of full-time sponsorship.

SWINGIN' SWEDISH PRO MOD

Sweden's Bertan Olofsson is building this radical '62 bubble top Impala for competition on the European Pro Mod scene. The swing arm chassis is from G-Force Race Cars and the engine is a Stawicki Racing K-B Olds which made over 2100 horsepower.

HERE COMES 'PROJECT 4-LINK'

Starting in the February issue, DRO will bring you the real adventures of putting together a rear engine dragster. From which chassis shop to choose to on-track testing and everything in between, the series of "Project 4-Link" tech articles will let you know EXACTLY what is involved. The series will be written by DRO Bracket Editor, Jok Nicholson, and will be updated twice a month. Look for the first installment February 8th., right here in dragracingonline.com. And look for the dragster later in the season, coming to a track (maybe) near you.

Is Jok excited?
