MORE PRO STOCKERS MOVING TO PRO MOD?

The Agent is sworn to secrecy and can't reveal any names but he has been told by very reliable sources that several name Pro Stock drivers could be making the switch to Pro Modified by the middle of this season. Stay tuned for names in the near future. (April 4)

Some of NHRA's management types have evidently decided to take a page out of the NASCAR book and are now telling some racers and sponsors not only where they must place the POWERade decals and patches on cars and suits, but also where therirsponsors logos should be and what size they can be.

The NHRA officials actually suggested (told?) some racers and sponsors at a recent event where they had to place their logos and what sizes they had to be if they were to be allowed to market apparel at the event. This happened despite the fact that there is nothing in the NHRA Guidelines that spell out anything any regulations like that .

Is this the next step down the road of "cookie cutter" racecars? The Agent can't wait until they go to John Force or Don Prudhomme or Kenny Bernstein with a "suggestion." about where they can or cannot place sponsor logos and what size they can and cannot be. The Agent says there is something definitely fishy going on here. (April 4)

CHICAGOLAND DODGE DEALERS TO SPONSOR ROUTE 66 NHRA EVENT

The Chicago Metro Dodge Dealer Advertising Association has signed an agreement with Route 66 Raceway and the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series to become title sponsor of the May 30-June 2 Chicagoland Dodge Dealers NHRA Nationals at Route 66 Raceway.

The Chicago Metro Dodge Dealer Advertising Association is the official automotive sponsor of the oval track Chicagoland Speedway and dragstrip Route 66 Raceway. As a result, Dodge is the official vehicle of both tracks. The Chicago Metro Dodge Dealer Advertising Association represents 56 Dodge Dealers within the greater Chicagoland area and Northwest Indiana. (April 4)
