YOUNGBLOOD COMING OUT OF RETIREMENT?

DRO's resident political cartoonist/artist Kenny Youngblood may be coming out of retirement as a fuel dragster pilot. Some of you may remember when 'Blood and his partner Fred Smith had an A/FD years back. Seems like Smith now has too much time and money on his hands and has the urge to get back into racing. According to Kenny, the ride will be a Goodguys legal A/FD and Youngblood will be the shoe.

The Agent will be there with a fresh roll of film and a bottle of cheap red wine when Kenny makes his first laps. The cartoon shown above has nothing to do with this entry, but anything that we can remotely connect to Youngblood and run one of his cartoons, we leap on.[1-8-2003]

BURNOUTS BY SPRING

The guys at G-Force Race Cars in Tonawanda (Buffalo, if you don't live there) New York sent the Agent this spy foto of Canadian Joe Cocina's radical '59 Corvette. According to the G-Force guys, the 'Vette is fully streetable and "Pro Mod-ible." The blown big block comes out of Jim Oddy's Elma (also Buffalo, if you don't live there) New York engine shop. Looks like a way cool ride to the Agent.[1-8-2003]
