In
2000, IHRA had its first national event at Grand
Bend Motorplex, creating growth into the Canadian
market. The Hooters IHRA Drag Racing Series
now holds three national events in the country:
Grand Bend, Toronto and Edmonton, Alberta.
"Castrol Canada has been a constant in Canadian
motor sports over the last couple of decades,"
said Grand Bend Motorplex track operator Ron
Biekx. "When other companies have bounced
in and out, Castrol was always there and they
are still here today. I count on three things:
death, taxes and Castrol supporting the drag
racing community."
Death, taxes and Castrol? Hmmmm. [3-3-2003]
