On Sunday, August 10 sport compact racer Angela Proudfoot will be featured in Parade magazine. The article will focus on Angela's unique relationship with sponsor, PETA, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. Parade magazine is distributed in more than 330 Sunday newspapers nationwide. OPEN PRO MOD SHOW AT WORLD SERIES OF DRAG RACING

The 50th annual World Series of Drag Racing at Cordova Dragway is coming up on Aug 22-23 and they will have an open eight-car field for NHRA/IHRA legal Pro Mods. There will be two qualifying laps Friday with the top four times seeded into field, and then one qualifying lap Saturday. No additional time runs will be allowed. There will be no circuit fees and no entry fees for car driver and four crew.

The payout will be $2,000 to win; runner-up gets $1,250; semi-finalists get $1,000. First round runner-up will receive $ 750, with first and second alternates taking home $200. For more information go to www.cordovadragwaypark.com. [8-8-2003]
