- April 24, 1960 -
- Wins Alton match race with 8.87/204.54 charge, the sport's first
200-mph run. (DRO file photo)
- Labor Day Weekend 1960 -
- Karamesines receives a questionable 219.00-mph time slip at the
AHRA National Championships in Kansas City. That 219 would've been
the sport's first 210.
- September 1962 -
- Karamesines runs the best speed of the year with back-to-back 200.00-mph
runs at Oswego Dragstrip in Illinois.
- February 1963 -
- Karamesines' Chizler is driven by chassis builder Rod Stuckey to
a 7.81/214.28 at the AHRA Winter Nationals in Scottsdale, Arizona.
This is probably a legit 210, and the 7.81 was drag racing's lowest
e.t.
- March 1963 -
- Karamesines runs the first seven-second time at the Bakersfield
March Meet, a 7.99. This was the first seven-second elapsed time at
a major meet (as opposed to a match race).
- February 1964 -
- Karamesines' 7.60 at the Lions UDRA meet ties the lowest elapsed
time in sport history (Jeep Hampshire received a 7.60 at Pomona in
June 1963).
- January 1965 -
- Karamesines' 7.42 low e.t. at the AHRA Winter Nationals in Scottsdale,
Arizona is the lowest hot rod association time ever.
- February 1967 -
- Karamesines' 6.75 at West Palm Beach, Florida is the lowest elapsed
time of the year.
