The deceivingly titled Super Mod class, consisting of stock passenger
cars, was won by Karla Watts and her 16-second '99 Amiga with Larry
Doty and "The Dog" (October's NIRA event winner) runner-up.
The screaming sound of nitrous-injected rotary motors and front wheel
burnouts take a little getting used to if you're more a fan of typical
American muscle, but you cannot deny that this is drag racing, and it's
as much fun to watch as any other.
