Crane
Cams now offers owners of 1998-up LS1-powered Camaros, Corvettes, and
Firebirds a new line of performance cam profiles for street and all-out
racing applications. Manufactured from 8620 steel billet alloy shafts
that have been rifle-drilled (hollow center), these unique camshafts
are about two pounds lighter than OEM versions. Additionally, the cams
are carburized (heat treated) for extra surface hardness and wear resistance.
The reduced rotating weight of the camshaft contributes to improved
valvetrain efficiency, quicker RPM capabilities and increased component
reliability.
Taylor
Cable Products announces the ultimate in performance wire - Thunder
Volt 50. The 10.4mm wire has only 50 ohms of resistance per foot. The
Ferrite Spiral wound Coated Core is blended of an exclusive copper/nickel
alloy bonded by a conductive acrylic latex cover. The process reinforces
the tensile properties of the core. The wire has 102,000 volts of Dielectric
strength and protects up to 600 degrees. No additional sleeving is required.
