CRANE CAMS HAS CONVERSION STUDS FOR 8.1 LITRE BBC
In stock form, Chevrolet's big block is great, until someone tries to add a performance-enhancing camshaft. Then the non-adjustable rocker arms become a handicap. Crane Cams has produced screw-in studs to convert Gen V and VI 454-502 Chevys to roller rockers and now has a similar stud for the 8.1 litre engine as well. This high quality, low cost rocker arm stud replaces the stock stud without tapping, machining or even removing the cylinder heads. The 10mm thread on the bottom end of the stud screw directly into the head while the 7.16-inch thread on top accepts any adjustable Chevy big block rockers. Factory pushrod guideplates must be used to correctly align the pushrods. Check out the Crane Cams website at www.cranecams.com. Send $5 for a catalog to Crane Cams, Inc., Dept.
