COMP CAMS ECOTEC CAMSHAFTS

COMP Cams announces the release of a new line of performance camshafts for 2.0-liter, 2.2-liter GM ECOTEC powered applications. Using Spintron-developed ECOTEC lobe profiles, the COMP Cams engineering team optimized intake and exhaust flow to deliver performance improvements. This was accomplished by opening the intake valves faster with aggressive “fast ramp” lobe designs. The new COMP camshafts also utilize quicker valve closings, giving the 2.0-liter, 2.2-liter ECOTEC engine a much broader power band.

COMP Cams ECOTEC camshafts are available in five different configurations (3 street & strip, 1 blower, 1 turbo grind), as well as custom all-out drag racing grinds on billet steel cores. For more information, visit www.compcams.com.

SPLIT KING DEMONS

Demon Carburetion's first large split-carburetor design for gasoline racing engines, the new Split King Demons, are rated at either 1195 or 1295 cfm and are eminently suitable for large displacement, powerful drag race applications.

As a direct replacement for the split Holley Dominators, the Split Kings are used in conjunction with a sheet metal intake manifold and offered with interchangeable venturi sleeves and annular boost venturii. EXTRA-TALL COWL INDUCTION HOODS & SCOOPS FROM UNLIMITED

Unlimited Products has expanded its lineup of cowl induction hoods and hood scoops to include models with up to 9” overall height. Hoods with extra-tall 6, 7 and 9-inch cowl induction scoops are available for a wide variety of cars, including Camaros, Chevelles, Darts, Dusters, El Caminos, Firebirds, Malibus, Monte Carlos, Mustangs and many pickups. These include both “street” hoods and ultra lightweight racing models. Tall cowl induction scoops can also be custom-added to other hoods in Unlimited’s product line.

Cowl induction scoops are now available in heights of 2-1/4, 2-1/2, 3-1/4, 3-1/2, 4-3/4, 6, 7 and 9 inches tall, with several varieties in length and width. A number are of a “bolt-on” design. For more information, visit www.UP22.com.

TRIANGULATED 4-BAR CLIP

Renown chassis and suspension components manufacturer Art Morrison Enterprises now offers complete weld-in rear subframe assemblies with a triangulated 4-bar rear suspension. They are CAD-engineered for the exact year/make/model application and also designed to incorporate the customer’s desired ride height.

A combination of parallel and diagonal bars limit housing “wrap” and provide superb lateral stability. Subframes are mandrel-formed from 2" x 4" x .120" wall rectangular tubing and fixture-welded by technicians. Installation is accomplished by cutting the stock frame at a specified point and grafting on the clip. The subframe crossmember has passages to facilitate optimum location of the exhaust system.
