THE RETURN OF JOHNSON-STYLE SOLID FLAT
TAPPETS
When
production of Johnson-style flat tappet lifters ceased several
years ago, it stunned the performance industry. Not only
did their departure cause a huge problem obtaining flat
tappets, it also eliminated what many engine builders considered
to be the highest quality and most versatile tappets available.
COMP Cams proudly announces the return of Johnson-style
flat tappets for Chevrolet V6, SBC, and BBC engines, as
well as Pontiac and Oldsmobile V8 street and racing applications.
Built to precision tolerances creating an extremely durable
product, the new Johnson-style lifters utilize a universal
oil metering band location that allows a single part number
(#2900) to cover a variety of engine applications. In addition,
these lifters feature a precision-ground crown on the lifter

RE-DESIGNED BG BELT-DRIVE FUEL PUMP
Designed
for engines with high-volume fuel demands (especially alcohol),
BG Fuel System’s new belt-drive fuel pump has been
re-engineered to feature a one-piece gear housing to streamline
production and meet demand. This new unitary construction
means that fewer seals are required and all critical machining
processes are “Done-in-One.”
BG’s belt-driven fuel pump eliminates fuel starvation
in high-output racing engines and operates in conjunction
with a diaphragm bypass with a –8 return line to the
fuel cell. Plumbing can be simplified by using a fuel log
with an integrated diaphragm- or pill-style-bypass. Placed
before the pump, use either a BG Dry-break fuel filter or
an In-line style. Mounting and pulley drive kits sold separately.

ZEX’S PERIMETER PLATE NOW
AVAILABLE AS RETRO-FIT KIT
Unlike traditional nitrous injection plates, the ZEX Perimeter
Plate employs multiple injection points to ensure that a
perfectly atomized, cylinder-to-cylinder balanced blend
of fuel and nitrous reaches your engine. ZEX’s new
Perimeter Injection technology eliminates nitrous delivery
imbalance, the major drawback with spray-bar type nitrous
systems. Owners of vehicles currently using the old technology
spray-bar systems can purchase the new ZEX Retro-Fit Kit
which includes only the ZEX Perimeter Plate and appropriate
gaskets.
Cryo-Sync technology flows the nitrous through a set of
internal plate passages before entering your engine. This
turns the plate into an ultra-efficient heat sink, cooling
your carburetor and intake manifold for additional power.
Airflow Enhancement technology injects the nitrous shot
at an optimized angle, low and towards the center of the
intake plenum. This creates a low-pressure area in the plenum
that increases airflow into your engine, further improving
