NEW BILLET STEEL BIG BLOCK CHEVY CRANKSHAFTS

Designed for serious horsepower motors, the newest crankshafts from Ohio Crankshaft are available in strokes from 4.25 inches up to 5.3 inches.  These cranks are machined from heat treated 4340 billets and are target bobweighted for easy balancing.  The Prototypes are complete and the crankshafts are now ready to ship.

APD INTRODUCES NEW LINE OF BLACK WIDOW CARBURETOR SPACERS
 
The spacers, which APD has tabbed the Black Widow line, are available in 2” thicknesses for 4150 and 4500 style carburetors.
 
 “It’s impossible to build a ‘one size fits all’ carburetor spacer.  Different combinations have different characteristics, but this spacer increases air speed in the intake plenum. We’ve seen an average of 10-12 horsepower gains with the Black Widow across the board (over engines with no spacer).  Some engines see 20 horsepower, some only see 3 or 4, but I’d say 10-12 is about average,” said APD's John Kyle.

EATON EXPANDS DETROIT TRUETRAC® PORTFOLIO TO COVER DIESEL PICK UPS

The Eaton Corporation has developed a Detroit Truetrac® limited slip differential that taps into a key segment of the performance truck market: Diesel pick-ups with Dana 80 rear axles.
 
The new Truetrac 35 and 37 spline applications for the Dana 80 rear axle in the Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 with a Cummins diesel, Ford F-250, F-350 with a Powerstroke diesel will be available this spring. Truetrac has been available for the Dana 80 hybrid, but not for applications on the Cummins diesel engine which has a gear ratio of 3.73 and down.
