This '50s Hillman
four-door driven by SoCal's Ernie Hernandez
is always a crowd pleaser. It's powered by
a small block Chevy and runs in the low 11's.
The car originally competed at Pomona in C/Altered
at the 1965 Winternationals.
Hernandez's partner,
Paul Soliz, had his Chevy big block-powered
Plymouth coupe to the Hot Rod semi-final round,
also running in the low 11's. The "High and
Mighty" is a former 1960s gasser.
Even push trucks were
part of the show with this blown Rockview
Dairy milk delivery vehicle.
With the popularity of
this show it looks good for a 2005 return
to the under used Fairplex strip for Goodguys.
There were also rumors of a VRA return to
Sonoma.
