Josh McClelland qualified
on top of the 15-car Outlaw 10.5 field with
a 4.708 pass at 150.85 mph. McClelland said
his 2002 Camaro was sporting new, unpainted
carbon-fiber panels because he “finally
decided to trade looks for speed.” After
enjoying a single in the opening round, McClelland
fell to Ronnie Davis in round two.

Brad Brand set top speed
of the meet for the 10-wide cars at 156.97 mph
during qualifying with his 1992 Mustang. The
Loganville, GA-based racer fell to Mike Calvert
and his ‘02 ‘Stang in round two.

L.C. Rhodes made the
long tow from Branden, MS, to qualify his ‘69
Camaro 10th in the Outlaw 10.5 field with a
4.88-second pass at 144.95 mph, but failed to
keep his first-round appointment with Tim West.
