When Jacklyn Gebhardt’s A/Econo Dragster beat Californian Michael Stone’s C/ED in the first pair of Competition Eliminator’s first round, Jeff Taylor automatically became the 2005 Lucas Oil Comp World Champ. Taylor went to the third round where he parked the E/Super Modified Grand Am, so opponent and partner Bo Butner could advance to the final only to lose to David Rampy, who also won Stock Eliminator!
