Pro Stock tuner Jerry Eckman came from his Ohio home to work
with Randy Walker's El Camino team. With Eckman's help Walker
made some career best passes, but had trouble slowing the
car for the top end turnout and stopped in the sand trap.
Walker commented, "I now need bigger chutes to slow this
car down."

Ron Weems driving his Pontiac Grand
Am ran 7.284/191.48 mph to defeat Gil Nevarez in the final.
X-TREME STREET
Chris Alston's '64 Nova won the X-Treme
Street title and the PSCA X-Treme Street championship. In
the final Alston ran 7.722/183.32 mph beating Slim Zeinaty's
Camaro.
