"Big Dog" Richard Burk

Editor Jeff Burk's younger brother and early drag racing partner, Richard, convinced his older but better looking brother to get him a photo pass for the San Antonio IHRA race by threatening to reveal to the public certain facts about his big brother's high school and college records heretofore thought by the elder brother to have been sealed by the judge.

Despite using antiquated equipment -- all of his disposable funds are tied up in new golf clubs and an associate sponsorship of Peter Lehman's Top Fueler -- and despite the fact he sent his own brother an invoice with the photos, Richard's photos impressed the editor enough to print a gallery of his shots in lieu of pay.

Summit Racing Equipment team driver Al Billes spun the tires and then shook them
hard in his Jim Oddy-tuned 'Vette just moments after this photo was taken.

Believe it or not this is a shot of the Peter G. Lehman Top Fuel car driven
by Clay Millican taken during eliminations on Saturday night.

Brother Burk couldn't resist taking this photo of the Werner Enterprises car.
We've circled his company logo just so that he can prove that
his company actually is involved in drag racing.

This a very rare photo of a Mike Kloeber tuned car on fire.
The Werner car pushed a gasket out in the lights Saturday morning.
