"There's no such thing as a bad win or a good loss the way I've always approached this business." -- Warren Johnson after earning the 94th win of his career and his second this year

"I have a sign on the side of my car that says, 'Old age and treachery will win out over youthful exuberance every time,' and I think that might have been the case today." -- W. Johnson again, on Richie Stevens’ redlight start in the final round

"I didn't have to push it that hard. W.J. and I ran identical times in the semifnals (Johnson posted a 6.757, Stevens went 6.756). I shouldn't have tried to push it as hard as I did. It was just final-round tension. I was nervous, anxious, wanting to win, wanting to win for everybody and I guess it just kind of bit me back." -- Stevens on leaving .049 too soon

"With our limited experience with this car, and an uncertain racing surface, we really didn't know what to expect. I looked at the starting line, and it seemed pretty good, so I adjusted the car accordingly, and it stuck. It ran .997 in sixty feet, and was at the top of the pack to the 330 foot mark, which was pretty good for a brand new race car.” -- Kurt Johnson after qualifying third, on the Chevy Cobalt he debuted at Bristol

"The possibility of not being able to make a second run seemed pretty obvious, so we loaded it up to the point that we would at least qualify well, but not shake the tires which would cause us to miss the show. I guess you could say we were cautiously aggressive. As a result, we were way off in the first 60 feet, which was part of our game plan, but the fastest car in the back half, which shows our GM Performance Parts Pontiac has plenty of power.” -- W.J. after qualifying second

"The Cavalier showed it didn't want to be put away yet. We tried to get our new car ready, but it rained Tuesday (in Rockingham, N.C.) and we didn't get as many runs on the car as we wanted. It wouldn't have taken much because the new car showed a lot of promise down low (in the first half of the track) but we didn't feel two full runs on the car was enough to run it here, especially with the weather the way it was predicted.” -- Dave Connolly after qualifying number one, on the last-minute decision to stick with his old car instead of also debuting a new Cobalt

"It was really a horrible run." -- Jim Yates on the pass that placed him 13th for raceday

"There was nothing left on that run. It quivered the tires and was right at the point where it was as fast as it could go. I can't say we milked it, but we got everything out of it.” -- W. Johnson on the track record 6.715-secs pass he made while defeating Jason Line in round two

"It was a good race; it could've gone either way." -- Connolly on losing to Stevens in round two by just one-thousandths of a second
