Jack Beckman has only been a professional
drag racer for four national events. At Englishtown the
driving instructor from Frank Hawley's Drag Racing School
made it to the semi-finals, where he lost to Dave Grubnic
with a 4.663 to the Aussie's 4.548. "We might have
a part-time crew but they're sure looking like a full-time
pro team and I couldn't be more proud of their efforts,"

Jason Line got his second consecutive
Pro Stock win, beating Greg Stanfield (shown), teammate
Greg Anderson and Larry Morgan along the way. He turned
in a 6.692/205.98 to defeat Warren Johnson (6.714/207.50)

Antron Brown got his first win of the
season. He defeated Scott Valetti, Geno Scali and teammate
Angelle Sampey to get to the final where his 7.169/184.55
got the win over Karen Stoffer's 7.238/186.90. "We
still have some work to do, but all the late hours that
my crew has been putting in is paying off," Brown said.
"The championship fight has just begun. It's going
to be a dogfight from here on out to win this championship."
