The Huntsville Dragway “Street” classes
known as Easy and Limited Street produced solid single-digit
action. In Easy Street, (a class reserved for cars with
10 ½” rear tires, unlimited cubes and no wheelie
bars) Billy Mather drove around Darrell Morgan, 5.919/116.51
to 6.096/131.81 in the final round while in Limited Street
action (wheelie bars allowed) Jeff Cooner got the nod over
Lamar Swindoll, with a 5.183/141.33 to a 5.225/150.50.
