Popular sport compact driver Lisa Kubo was with the nitro guys. She was hanging with Frank Pedregon’s team for most of the qualifying sessions at Sonoma, “To learn as much as I can about nitro funny cars; that’s the kind of car I want to drive.” Kubo has been sidelined without a ride since her Pro Rear Wheel Drive deal with Nelson Hoyos vaporized earlier this year.
