"We
were really dialed in," said Sinke, of Welland, ON.
"This is a great track. We do well on the eighth-mile
strips, and for our first time here, I’m really pleased
with our results."
With 12 Pro Modifieds on hand for the race, Sinke was No.
1 qualifier and received the Darren Mayer Performance Engineering
(DMPE) Low Qualifier Bonus with a 4.187-second pass in his
1967 Nova SS. Taking the number two qualifying spot was
Andy Jensen (below) of Nesepeck, PA, in his turbocharged
1965 Corvette with a 4.32-second run.

Jensen met up with Sinke in the final round, but the Hammer
Racing entry of Sinke took the win with a 4.223-second,
173.19-mph pass over Jensen’s 4.397-second, 165.49
run in the Jensen Tech car.
"We were pleased with our efforts tonight," said
Jensen after the final. "This is a good group of competitors,
and Larry was real strong all night."
