Brett Stevens had a mortgage on rolling
fog banks, thanks to his Harley fueller, but, despite competing
in three brackets, Top Bike, Top Alcohol and Top Doorslammer,
he went down in the semis of the bike and door brackets.
John Andriopolis had the only Mopar
in the field and had three qualifying passes, but only the
first got him down the track. Still, he cranked out Low
ET of the meet in the first round at 7.23. He couldn't get
the car to fire for the semis, however.
This awesome-looking '57 Chevy Nomad
is still pretty new and a best of 7.67 was nowhere near
good enough for a field which collectively ran the best
passes of all time. Still, it's a joy to watch.
