Super Street class record holder Elias Dellatorre managed to gain only one point over Canadian Mike Yedgarian after being upset by Doug Smith in the finals. Brian Merrick used the strength of his runner-up finish to Jeff Day in Nostalgia Super Stock to maintain his points lead over John Gifford.

Former Hot Street champion Tim Davis made his first event of the year a successful one as he upended Rick Moroso. Davis had not competed since walking away from a serious two-car mishap at Rockingham last year. Other winners include Jim Widener (Limited Street), Mike Walker (Nostalgia Muscle Car), Jeff Day (Nostalgia Super Street), Laurie Claeys (Street Eliminator), and Jim Breese (EFI).

Mark Enwia's encounter with the wall in Super Street qualifying left Jim Summer's supercharged ASSC Mustang Cobra battered and bruised.

Jim Huber returned to the winner's circle after a lengthy absence with a win over Joel O'Donnell. Huber owns both ends of the Super Modified record with a 7.64 at 180.94 mph with his 2000 Chevy S-10.
