Making it a cool 2 (as in second win) for 2000, Tony Schumacher's
Exide Batteries dragster ran off with the Top Fuel title at the
NHRA Pontiac Excitement Nationals. |
 |
Dean Skuza's Matco Tools Funny Car had just a so-so weekend. He
qualified 13th and went two rounds before losing to Tony Pedgregon
in round two. |
 |
Side by side Funny Car qualifying was highlighted by Bruce Sarver's
E-Moola.com Pontiac (far lane) and Todd Paton in the Nitrofish Camaro.
Both cars made the Columbus show; Sarver clocked a 5.048 for the
10th spot and Paton banging out a 5.051 for the 11th slot. |
