He won the race and $10,000 purse, cooling down a sizzling
Craig Treble, who was 12-1 in elimination-round wins this year. Brown
ran a 7.118-second e.t. to Treble's 7.155.
"I had to come back to my roots and I had to stay calm,"
said Brown, who lives in Chesterfield, N.J., and started racing motocross
at the Old Bridge Township Raceway Park complex. "We saw some true drag
racing."
Angelle Savoie turned in the quickest Pro Stock Bike run
in NHRA history during Saturday qualifying with a 7.049-second pass
