Lucasville, OH's Brian Gahm had his 2001 Mustang Pro Stocker at Darlington, testing three news sets of carburetors with tuning help from Cliff Moore. Gahm (pronounced "Game") didn't make any full passes until the final round on Saturday against Elijah Morton, which he won with an early shutoff 6.982 when Morton crossed the centerline in his brand-new 2002 Mustang. Joining Gahm for his IHRA campaign again this year are crewmembers Chris and Brandon Johnson and Cathy Strickland.

Regardless of the success Jimmy Rector (right) has as crew chief for Mitch Stott, he's still looking forward to racing his own Alcohol Funny Car in the IHRA Summit Drag Racing Series this season. "Mitch made me an offer to quit racing my car back in November, but I'm going to race my car and tune his car," said Rector, runner-up in Funny Car points last season. "It's way too early to think about championships for either of us, but I want to make sure everyone knows we're there at every race."

Harold Martin hangs 'em high in his EFI-equipped Pro Mod Firebird, the only one of its type in the class.
