"We felt good with our qualifying runs and felt like we would have a good weekend," said Hoyos. "But during the burnout something just didn't feel right and we backed it up to try again, but it didn't want to move forward. I'm sure that this team will get it all figured out and we'll be ready to go again come August when we go racing again."

Alex Dieguez won the Modified class getting a solo run due to Stephan Papadakis breaking his car in the semifinals. Dieguez was number one qualifier and set a new record at 8.050 seconds.

Matt Scranton got his fifth ProV8 win of the season.

Mark Mazurowski was the Street Tire winner and Jesus Padilla picked up his third All Motor win.

Next event on the schedule is the BFGoodrich Tires NHRA Sport Compact Nationals August 9-10 at Texas Motorplex near Dallas.
