THE SHOOTOUT
Although Mitch Stott didn't make the field
for the race on Sunday, he more than made up
for it by taking the $10,000 winner's purse
in the special Pro Mod Shootout on Saturday,
Oct. 11.
Stott defeated Rickie Smith and Al Billes to
meet up with Shannon Jenkins in the final. Jenkins
(photo) had bested Tim McAmis and Thomas Patterson
on the other side of the ladder.
In the final, Stott's Radiac Abrasives-backed
Corvette turned in a 6.276/226.64 performance
to edge the Western Beef-sponsored Camaro of
the Iceman at 6.316/221.94.
