EDELBROCK HOT STREET
was the Charlie Booze Jr. Show. Booze
qualified on top of the field with a 9.002.
The finals came down to Booze and number four
qualifier Mike Curcio. Curcio got the holeshot,
but his 9.18 at 146 wasn't enough to hold off
Booze's charging 9.012 at 149.
BFGOODRICH DRAG RADIAL:
Philip Clemmonds, who finished No. 2
in points last year, threw down a brutal 8.55
at 166 mph to qualify at the top of the field.
He held the top spot all the way to the final
round where he faced Frank Provenza. Clemmons
got the holeshot and kept in front with another
8.55 to het his first-ever NMRA win.
