Random thought; If the driver can thank
controversial products for helping them
win the race, then why can't they be controversial
and thank God for the same reasons? If someone
watching TV coverage of the race gets offended
by the mentioning of God, or whatever else
might offend them, then they have the right
to turn if off or to forget about it and
do what they turn the TV on in the first
place...to watch Drag Racing!!
But, that's just my opinion!

A DIFFERENCE OF OPINION
Chris, Thanks for speaking up for the many
who heartily agree with you. Regardless
of your religious beliefs, it is insensitive
to utilize public forums for the demonstration

personal
beliefs. You can damn well bet there would
be an outcry if someone voiced the opposite
belief in this same forum!

RIGHT AND WRONG
Well I'm sure you got plenty of hate mail
concerning Jeff and his god rampage. This
is not one of them. I feel that I am a Christian,
but I agree with Jeff, I think God gets
a little too much air time as of late. I
think maybe God wants you both to win, the
winner just did their job better that particular
pass. You never hear someone say, "thanks
to Allah for that 4.50 pass." Why is that?
Long story short, it took a lot of guts
to take the unpopular stance Jeff did, and
I think he is right.
Now I would like to thank god for allowing
my fingers to hit all these keys (just kidding).

Thanks for the support, Keith. Just a small
correction, though. Chris Martin was the
author of that piece. Jeff Burk gets in
enough trouble on his own, let's not give
him any extra.
MARTIN IS FEARLESS
Chris: I always enjoy your columns- but
this last one (God) could be the best work
you have ever done! I know you will catch
some crap for writing it, just wanted to
let you know that more than a few of us
appreciate having our own views aired by
a(n) (obviously fearless) commentator such
as yourself. Keep up the GREAT work!

PRETTY IN PINK
This is a free country more or less, yet!
Chris Martin has every right to say what
he feels, and so do you and I. This country
was founded on Christian principals, and
there are way too few people with enough
guts to show the way they feel as a Christian.
I am not nearly the Christian I should be,
but if Chris doesn't like Angelle, or Bruce
Litton, or whoever espouse thanks to the
lord, then he should go to the fridge for
another beer, or start talking to someone,
or plug his ears. This country is in a hell
of a mess, and a portion of it is due to
all the namby pamby, pinko based crap of
"political correctness"! I say, this society
needs a good kick in the ass, and possibly
it would wake up to what is important, and
what is not. A good sound basis for our
society comes from the Bible. I hope all
these weak wristed scum sucking pinko asses
don't get their agenda across to remove
God and Christ from everything. We would
be a pack of mad dogs without laws and rules
of society, and these come from the bible.
As to the motorcycles, I do not like pro
m-c, and I am not crazy about all the attention
placed on Angelle, but she is good, and
she is an American, and I defend her right
to say whatever she wants, so just shut
up already! Stop whining!
