KEEPING THE AGENT ACCURATE
Your article about Kurt Johnson's new car has
one minor error. The Holden Minaro from Australia
is actually the GTO in America, not the Grand
Prix. Keep up the good work.

MORE PRO MODS!
How long do you think NHRA can ignore Pro Mod?
I just saw a drawing of the CA. Flash car and
hope that's true. I saw or heard rumors about
other F/C drivers and retired drivers coming
back to run Pro Mod. Also it seems there are
so many Pro Mods being built. If someone would
get all these Pro Mods together for one big
SUPER MEET it would be like to old OCIR MFG.
MEET. What I am saying is crowd wise as there
would be four car teams. I sure would like to
see that race. THE PLACE WOULD BE PACKED. Could
be another S/S Nationals like York U.S. 30 had
in '65. WOW!!!

How do your readers think a/fuel dragsters
would fair in top fuel if they ran 4:90's at
close to 300 mph?

Lenny, I couldn't agree with you more! I've
stated the argument many times that NHRA is
no longer a sanctioning body who is "dedicated
to safety" but is now in fact nothing more than
a glorified motorsports entertainment promoter.
The BS they spew about their concern and admiration
for the sportsman racers would be laughable
if it

weren't
so sadly proved otherwise by every action they
take.
Here's a train of thought for you to chew on...
What representation (as dues paying members
and paying customers) do the sportsman racers
have in the process that determines what changes
will effect them? NHRA has become a "police
state" where by anyone without influence is
nonexistent.
Now that I'm sufficiently riled up it's time
to fire off another letter and let them know
what I think about their internet based national
event advanced registration. The season hasn't
even begun and already the Finals entries are
full in a couple categories.
