"Hot Damn Doorslammin' Volume 2" is a two-hour drag racing video presented by Drag Racing Underground. Hosted by Diana "The Doc" Thomas, it is equal parts racing action and driver interviews.

Diana Thomas, a.k.a. The Doc, proves herself to be a good interviewer - professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and at ease in front of the camera. Her interviews are informative, providing the viewer with the background of the driver and the history of the car, as well as details about the team members. Some of the drivers she talks with include Eddie Cassatt, Tommy Martino, Warren Johnson, Vinnie Budano and Scott Braglio. In addition to drivers, she also presents an interview with Leo Barnaby, president of Neverlift Motorsports, complete with a tour of the facility.

Off camera, narration is provided by both Diana Thomas and John Gill. Unfortunately, their commentary seems scripted and forced. John Gill shows little enthusiasm (although he does improve somewhat in the second half of the tape) and his favorite reaction seems to be, "Oh my," delivered without much feeling.

As many of the drivers mention, the best parts of Quick 8 racing are the adrenaline rush, the speed, and the "brute horsepower" of the cars, and the video shows this. The performance of the cars: the speed, the sound and a few fires and other mishaps are captured on film, and the occasional switch to slow motion at the end of a race provides an interesting effect.

Overall, this is a great drag racing video, with exciting action and interesting interviews. If you can ignore the dull off-camera conversation, you'll love the rest.
