THE LOADED QUESTION-er

The Geography of Drag Racing

Hi friends. This quiz will lean a little toward World Finals queries with
maybe a detour somewhere along the way. I don't know for sure, as I haven't written it yet. This material comes right off the top of my head in most cases, and hence there are a lot of mistakes. Well, not really. Well, wait a minute... yes, really. Hey, it's free. Whaddya want, "Jeopardy"-type accuracy?

1. This is not a multiple choicer. Last year's Top Fuel runner-up provided one of the biggest upsets in NHRA World Finals class history by just being in the final. A super, super long shot. Not only that, but even though he lost, he ran quicker in the final. The winner ran 4.76, he ran 4.73, and "he" is? Hey, it was a year ago, you should know this.
2. The first four-second Top Fuel run in World Finals history was made in 1989 by this guy.
A.) Eddie Hill
B.) Frank Bradley
C.) Mike Brotherton
D.) Darrell Gwynn
3. Bennie Osborn, Don Garlits and Joe Amato all won back-to-back World Finals Top Fuel titles. Name the only racer to win three consecutive World Finals Top Fuel titles.
A.) Darrell Gwynn
B.) Kenny Bernstein
C.) Eddie Hill
D.) Cory McClenathan
4. How many times has Pro Stock Bike racer Angelle Savoie won the World Finals?
A.) 1
B.) 2
C.) 3
D.) Never
5. In 1971, NHRA's last race of the season was the Supernationals at Ontario Motor Speedway, not the World Finals at Amarillo. At the 1971 event, the Top Fuel finalists staged a near minute-long "burndown." One of the participants was John Wiebe, the other was:
A.) Jerry Ruth
B.) James Warren
C.) Gary Cochran
D.) Hank Johnson

And as a final bonus tiebreaker, what will be Top Fuel low ET at this year's World Finals? The Loaded One opts for a quadruple "four" --- 4.444.
