IT'S BEEN THIS WAY A LONG TIME
It's nice to see some things never change. My partner and I were
runner up at an AHRA National event at Spokane, WA in 1979, and I
don't remember any contingency being paid, one of the reasons we eventually
got out of the "sport". I also remember being treated real badly being
an NHRA sportsman racer, and talking to a lot of my old friends that
are still racing in Stock Super Stock and Comp, it's getting worse,
enough a lot of the stocker guys are going to IHRA, or just giving
it up. I just finished a Super Street car and joined NHRA 2 years
ago, IHRA a year ago, I will probably let the NHRA membership lapse,
and run IHRA, but after hearing things like this I may just run the
local Muscle car events and the GoodGuys races, I want to have fun.
Well that's my 02. Hope you get your money (I know several racers
that got stiffed this year) Good Luck.

STILL WAITING FOR THE MONEY, TOO
I share the same problems as you. I have won 5 National events and
numerous points meets and finished top ten almost every year I have
raced. The worst companies are CSI, Manley, Hooker, I have waited
over a year for CSI and finally got them to send me a tire gauge for
exchange so I could get something from them. As a small business owner
in the racing industry I can't believe the crap that it takes to get
paid.
Just for the record the best in my opinion is K-MOTION. I'm not a
big time winner so I really need my money quick to keep on racing.
I hope they get it figured out.

CUSTOMERS REALLY PAY CONTINGENCY
Jok, I haven't won anything that I have had to worry about collecting
from YET. But, everyone that buys any of this crap we use by choice
or coercion should be concerned because the contingency money is paid
for in the price of the parts we buy. I feel that if this point was
made clear to a lot more people, more notice would be made of this
problem.
Give them hell and good luck with your car,
